I have read a few of hers some of which I have loved (Poisonwood Bible, Animal, Vegetable Miracle) and one that I struggled with (Prodigal Summer). I need to read more. Do you have a favorite?Rudejasperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08262824398753157757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3758954459010253052.post-25725729901352617792014-01-22T18:42:17.954-06:002014-01-22T18:42:17.954-06:00Looks really interesting! She often writes very closely along the lines of #3 - if you haven't read her I think you'd really like her. She's one of my favourite authors! I had talked to someone a while ago about how I wish fantasy could be treated a little more like sci-fi. In a lot of sci-fi series other authors come in and co-write or explore other corners of the universe. I would LOVE if that happened in fantasy - particularly Harry Potter!Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17058009271288566400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3758954459010253052.post-71990169947389930712014-01-21T23:25:06.702-06:002014-01-21T23:25:06.702-06:00I know that one of this years releases is being pi...I know that one of this years releases is being pitched for fans of Firefly (actually it came out today). Different characters are find, I just want the same world. Or a different world, I guess, as long as it's as awesome as the HP one. We definitely need more beta heroes, and I love it when authors mix genres well. (The keyword being 'well', of course!) I haven't read the Dresden books yet, but number 6 sounds like a good idea. As for number 9A, how about a book about the founding of Hogwarts? That made my TTT list!
